  &lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&gt;From personal use, Zofram was the only medicine which seemed to &lt;br /&gt; overcome &lt;br /&gt; &gt;nausea during chemo to alleviate the dehydration and other problems I &lt;br /&gt; normally &lt;br /&gt; &gt;experienced. Other nausea medications seemed to have mental effects as &lt;br /&gt; well, &lt;br /&gt; &gt;so not only did you feel lousy (from the nausea), but there wasn&#039;t &lt;br /&gt; enough &lt;br /&gt; &gt;intellect &#160;left do watch TV, read, or do something else that would &lt;br /&gt; help pass &lt;br /&gt; &gt;the time. &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;There is also a drug called Kytril that came after Zoftran and works in &lt;br /&gt; a similar way...I believe its action lasts longer. Originally, Kytril &lt;br /&gt; was IV only...it was recently approved for oral use. Sandoz also makes &lt;br /&gt; an anti-emetic...but it will only be marketed (I&#039;m told) outside the &lt;br /&gt; US. The Kytrol has taken care of the &lt;br /&gt; nausea. Sometimes It gives me a mild but bothersome headache. There &lt;br /&gt; have been no mental effects.
