Gemcitabine is an anti-cancer drug available under the FDA’s
"Treatment IND" program. This allows distribution of promising (but not
completely proven) anti-cancer drugs under certain regulations. The
manufacturer is Lilly. Have the doctor call 1-800-621-7111 to learn more.

I suspect you are talking about gemcitabine, a new drug for pancreatic
cancer. It is still experimental, but easy to get since it’s under a
treatment IND. It’s made by Lilly.

Thanks,
Gemcitabine is the generic name; Gemzar is the commercial name. I
believe it has been approved by the FDA for Eli Lilly to begin clinical
trialsin the US. Contact Eli Lilly for info.
